Orvis E. "Buck" Brand – age 72 – of Toronto passed away Thursday – February 11, 2010 at the Trinity Medical Center – West Steubenville.
He was born September 16, 1937 in Steubenville the son of the late Thurston Alton Brand and Cecelia Kowalsky Brand Popivchak.
Buck is a Methodist by faith and enjoyed being with his family.
He is retired from the former Kaul Clay Company of Toronto and is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
Buck was preceded in death by his parents and a sister – Shirley Stull
His survivors are:
Wife: Carol L. Anderson of the family home
Daughter: Judy Swearingen and husband David
Son: Eugene Brand
Step-Daughters: Toni Reynolds and husband Jim
Lynne Prosser of Toronto, Ohio
Step-Sons: Charles "Buddy" Warren and wife Julie

Sisters: Irene Popivchak of Wintersville, Ohio
Wonnona "Sis" Peckens and husband Robert of Toronto, Ohio
Brothers: Thurston Brand, Jr. and wife Pearl

Joseph Popivchak and wife Kay all of Toronto, Ohio
7 granddaughters – 6 grandsons
11 great grandchildren
Friends and family will gather for visitation from 1:00 to 5:00 P.M. Sunday – February 14th at the Clarke Funeral Home – 302 Main St. – Toronto. 740-537-1234 or 800-588-1446.
A celebration service of Buck's life will be held 5:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor Albert Quiroga officiating. Burial will be at the Toronto Union Cemetery at a later date at the convenience of the family.
