Dorhman E. “Shy” Wickham – age 72 – of Toronto passed away Thursday – July 15, 2010 at the Valley Hospice Care Center – North – Steubenville, Ohio
He was born September 10, 1937 in Stratton, Ohio the son of the late Thurl Robert Wickham and Anna Sedmak Wickham Boggs
Dorhman is a member of the Stratton Nazarene Church
He is retired from the Boilermaker’s Local Union # 154 of Pittsburgh, Pa. and is a U.S. Navy veteran.
Dorhman was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Marjorie Kavanaugh.
His survivors are:
Wife: Darlene F. Weaver Wickham whom he married July 30, 1959. 50 years of marriage
Sons: Dorhman E. (Barbara) Wickham and Robert T. (Sherrilyn) Wickham all of Toronto, Ohio
Daughter: Barb (Paul) Platko of Toronto, Ohio
Brothers: Thurl (Mitzi) Wickham of Wellsville, Ohio
Stanley (Joan) Wickham of Irondale, Ohio
Joseph (Anna) Wickham of East Liverpool, Ohio
Sisters: Creola (Clarence) Butler and Joanna (Ben) Simms all of Wellsville, Ohio. Nancy (Harold) Spencer of Highlandtown, Ohio and Debbie (Harold) Ward of Ravenna, Ohio.
Grandchildren: Jennifer (Gary), Cindy, Scotty, Tyler and Kellilyn Wickham; Ashley and Bryan Platko all of Toronto, Ohio.
Great-grandchildren: Jasmine and Mya Platko; Jared Jenkins
Friends and family will gather for visitation 2-4 & 6-8 Sunday July 18th at the Clarke Funeral Home – 302 Main St. – Toronto. 740-537-1234 or 800-588-1446.
A celebration service of Dorhman’s life will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday July 19th at the funeral Home with the Reverend Steve Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at the Sugar Grove Union Cemetery County Road 68 near Empire, Ohio.
