Cain Dingess, Jr. age 75 – of Hammondsville, Ohio passed away Sunday July 18, 2010 at the Trinity Medical Center – West Steubenville, Ohio

He was born August 22, 1934 in Stiltner, West Virginia the son of the late Cain Dingess, Sr. and Naomi Watts Dingess.

Cain was a member of the Irondale Volunteer Fire Department – Irondale, Ohio

He is retired from the Ohio Edison Co. Sammis Plant – Stratton, Ohio and loved working on his farm.

Cain was preceded in death by: Parents / son – Bennie Dale Dingess / daughter – Priscilla Faye Dingess / brothers – Elmer and Henry Watts / sister – Bertie Atkins.

Hid survivors are:
Wife: Lora F. Rife Dingess whom he married July 13, 1953

Sons: Dan Dingess of Hammondsville, Ohio
Michael (Ruth) Dingess of Steubenville, Ohio

Daughters: Virginia Lamp of Hammondsville, Ohio
Kathy Martin of Irondale, Ohio

Sisters: Esta Eplin, and Opal (Charlie) Hatfield both of Wayne, West Virginia
Dorothy Napier of Dunlow, West Virginia
Lora Jean Hartman of Chesapeake, Ohio

7 grandchildren / 4 great-grandchildren

Friends and family will gather for visitation 2-4 and 6-8 Tuesday July 20th at the Clarke Funeral Home – 302 Main St. – Toronto, Ohio. 740-537-1234 or 800-588-1446.

A celebration service of Cain's life will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday July 21st at the funeral home with Chaplain Linda Cormany officiating. Burial will follow at the Highlandtown Cemetery – Highlandtown, Ohio.

Memorial contributions in memory of Cain may be made to the Irondale Volunteer Fire Department.
