Reva L. Ashcraft – age 89 – of Toronto (Island Creek Township) passed away Saturday – July 24, 2010 at the Carriage Inn of Steubenville, Ohio
She was born March 25, 1921 in Brown, West Virginia the daughter of the late Eugene and Ethel Ashcraft Smith.
Reva was a member of the Hill Top Presbyterian Church – Toronto (Island Creek Township).
She served as the secretary for the Island Creek Cemetery Association for over 30 years and was a self employed Genealogy Researcher.
Reva loved to quilt and was known for her beautiful quilts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband – Harlan Ashcraft whom she married September 16, 1939 and a daughter Nancy Ashcraft.
Reva's survivors are:
Daughter: Linda (John) Husvar of Rootstown, Ohio
Grandchildren: Jerod Husvar of Rootstown, Ohio and Ruth Brock of Stewart, Florida.
Great-grandchildren: Samantha and Mikayla Brock; Johnna Husvar
Friends and family will gather for visitation from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday and from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. noon on Wednesday at the Clarke Funeral Home – 302 Main St. Toronto. 740-537-1234 or 800-588-1446
A celebration service of Reva's life will be held 12:00 P.M. noon Wednesday July 28th at the funeral home with the Reverend C. Robert Meyer officiating. Burial will follow at the Island Creek Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions in memory of Reva may be made to the Hill Top Presbyterian Church – 158 County Road 46 – Toronto, OH 43964
