Charles L. Pinkerton – age 82 – of Toronto passed away Sunday – July 25, 2010 at the Sienna Woods Nursing Home – Wintersville, Ohio
He was born June 15, 1928 in Jefferson County, Ohio the son of the late Joseph H. and Vernes Kindle Pinkerton.
Charles was a member of the Toronto First Church of the Nazarene and was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of W.W. II
He is retired from the former Hancock Manufacturing Company of Toronto
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; wife Dorothy H. Monigold Pinkerton who passed away June 13, 2000 and whom he married September 11, 1948; a sister Virginia Veers and a great-grandson Jacob Pinkerton
His survivors are: Sons: Roger L. Pinkerton of Sanford, Florida Terry L. (Jeannie) Pinkerton of Toronto, Ohio
Daughter: Shirley (Kenneth) Shannon of Toronto, Ohio
Companion: Harriett A. Davis of Toronto, Ohio
Brothers: Joseph (Sheila) Pinkerton of Toronto, Ohio William (Barbara) Pinkerton of California John Richard (Margie) Pinkerton of Wintersville, Ohio
Sisters: Judy (Thomas "Ed") Horvath of Peoria, Arizona Margaret (Earl) Glover of Colorado Cathy (Paul) Walmer of Leavenworth, Kansas
10 grandchildren / 24 great-grandchildren / 1 great-great grandchild

A celebration service of Charles' life will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday – July 29th at the funeral home with the Reverend Eric Frey officiating. Burial will follow at the Island Creek Cemetery
There will be full military graveside honors by the Toronto American Legion
